  • Job Placement Program and Career Development Services for Engineering and Technology (E&T) Students. 
    To better serve the employment needs of our engineering and technology students, the Engineering and Technology Department at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) is kindly requesting the following personal information, and information regarding the student's academic & work experience. The purpose of this information is to identify E&T students that successfully match the job requirements to what an employer is looking for in terms of personal and technical skill sets.   • Emergency Broadband Benefit:
    The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a Federal Communications Commission Program (FCC) to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more. 

    The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.

  • NASA Fall 2021 Internship

    NASA Interns use their creativity and innovation to work on projects impacting NASA's mission, such as returning to the Moon. As a NASA intern, you will be part of an amazing team that is dedicated to space exploration. You will work with leading experts and gain valuable experience as you participate in research and mission projects. Come dream with us and change the future. Applicants for this internship must be U.S. citizens. Fall 2021 Application Deadline: July 9th

  • Quantum Summer School with IBM Quantum 

    Want to develop in-depth, real world skills in quantum computing? Our Quantum Summer School is for you! This 4-week course provides an introduction to quantum computing. The aim is to expose students to this emerging field while providing them with real-world programming skills for quantum computers. Through daily lectures and labs, students learn about foundational concepts in quantum computation, including quantum mechanics, quantum computation and information, and quantum algorithms. Dates: July 12 - August 6, 2021 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM PST daily (Monday - Friday).
