This Future Green Leaders Summit will expose students to green career pathways and provide an opportunity to network and engage with leaders in this fast, growing economy. We know that educated youth have the power to change the world! Designed as a collaboration between local government, private industry, and higher education institutions, this hands-on experience supports Los Angeles Unified School District’s Strategic Plan Pillar 1D: Academic Excellence—College and Career Readiness. With support from our sponsors, this event is offered at no cost to participating schools.
Audience
6th and 7th grade students from Los Angeles Unified School District and Burbank Unified School District
Activities and Offerings
- Interactive workshops, hands-on activities, demonstrations, an Energy Battle Royale Dance Off, keynote speakers, and a resource fair with industry employers, community partners, community colleges, universities, and more!
- Bus transportation to and from the event
- Onsite healthy lunch
- Post event curriculum to keep students engaged and motivated
