Three SoCalREN agencies receive funding from the Investing in America Agenda!
As part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) provided a $9 million investment in the Industrial Training and Assessment Centers (ITAC) Implementation Grants program. SoCalREN is proud to have supported successful applications with three of our enrolled agencies.
The ITAC Implementation Grants program is available to help small and medium-sized manufacturers nationwide, including wastewater treatment plants, implement energy-efficient solutions. The grants provide funding of up to $300,000 with a 50% cost share qualifying for energy efficiency projects. Types of eligible projects include:
- LED lighting
- Process optimization
- HVAC/furnace/boiler upgrades
- Onsite power generation
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Power factor upgrades
- Heavy machinery upgrades
We’re excited to see the savings and benefits these funds will bring to the City of Ventura, Coachella Valley Water District, and Inland Empire Utilities Agency. SoCalREN is your go-to resource for helping your agency take advantage of funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure law, participate in the clean energy transition, and create a more resilient future!
