Have you heard? SoCalREN is helping agencies develop their own Energy Resiliency Action Plans!

Through its Energy Resiliency Action Plan (ERAP) program, SoCalREN is helping public agencies enhance energy resilience and prepare for climate-related challenges.
What is ERAP?
SoCalREN’s ERAP supports the development of energy efficiency and distributed energy resource projects to strengthen the resilience of critical community infrastructure and future resilience hubs across public agencies it serves. The program also assists agencies with regional planning and prioritization of energy resiliency project implementation through data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement.
ERAP Objectives:
Provide a roadmap for near-term to long-term energy resilience strategies.
Leverage data-driven and technical analysis to develop customized recommendations for capital projects that strengthen each community’s energy resilience.
Empower agencies to become energy resilience leaders by leveraging accurate, reliable data and engaging with community stakeholders to inform planning decisions.
What to expect:
A fully customized Resilience Hub Opportunity Assessment (RHOA) report that ranks facilities by resilience potential, using an array of social, health, and environmental vulnerability demographics.
An interactive outreach toolkit to engage and gather feedback from community members through online surveys, social media engagement, and in-person events.
On-site audits to identify energy efficiency and energy resilience upgrades that support the development of resilience hubs and critical facilities.
An Energy Resiliency Action Plan (ERAP) report that summarizes past findings and includes a collection of resilience resources and current funding opportunities to support long-term planning and project implementation.
What is a Resilience Hub?

Who Can Participate?
In 2025, ERAP is expanding beyond Los Angeles County, and public agencies across Southern and Central California are invited to take advantage of this opportunity! Whether you manage municipal facilities, emergency shelters, school campuses, or public buildings, ERAP can enhance your community’s energy resilience.
