Get Ready for Phase II of the Renew America’s Schools Prize

In 2022, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) launched the Renew America’s Schools Program, a $500 million initiative to help local educational agencies implement energy infrastructure upgrades. To date, it has invested $182.5 million in public school districts across America - directly benefiting over 90 school facilities across 22 states.

Applications are now open for the second round of funding and are due on June 13, 2024! This year, the Renew America’s Schools Prize presents a three-phase opportunity to help districts build capacity, perform energy audits, and implement energy improvement projects across a portfolio of school facilities. 

 

Important Dates and Details:

  • Application deadline: June 13, 2024, by 5 pm ET (1 pm PT)

  • Notification of selected winners: August 2024

  • Expected start of cooperative agreement negotiations: Fall 2024

  • Eligibility: K-12 public schools in the United States
