Cucamonga Valley Water District Boosts Pump Efficiency with SoCalREN

Project Highlight: Cucamonga Valley Water District Boosts Pump Efficiency with SoCalREN

The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) is making significant strides toward energy efficiency and cost savings, thanks to a recent collaboration with SoCalREN. In 2024, shortly after completing the Well 30 pump overhaul, CVWD wrapped up another impactful project: the completion of one well and seven booster pump stations through the Water Infrastructure and System Efficiency Statewide Initiative Program (WISE).

SoCalREN simplified the project process by providing dedicated project management support and assisting with incentive application documentation, savings calculations, scope-of-work drafts, and measurement and verification plans over the course of six years.

Energy and Cost Savings in Action

The resulting upgrades will bring a whopping $170,457 in lifetime cost savings to the District.

Project Impact:

  • $170,000+ in lifetime bill savings

  • $22,470 in secured incentives
  • 403,000+ gallons of water saved
  • 1.2M+ kWh lifetime energy savings
  • Equivalent GHG savings of 141 cars off the road for one year

SoCalREN Services Provided
