Turning Energy Upgrades into Cash with the Streamlined Savings Pathway!
Let’s give a round of applause to the City of Walnut for completing LED lighting upgrades at three of its facilities!
Situated in the scenic San Gabriel Valley region, the city delivers community services, such as health and wellness workshops, internship opportunities, senior excursions, and city council meetings through their teen center, senior center, and city hall.
Once the project was completed, the agency received a cash incentives check of over $26,000. And, now that their project is completed, they’ll continue to save almost $4,000 annually on their electricity bills!! Check out the additional project outcomes below!
Our team worked closely with the city’s Energy Champions, Melissa Barcelo and Corinne Munoz, who were exceptional players in making this project successful. Their energy, enthusiasm, and coordination with SoCalREN staff kept the project moving smoothly until completion. SoCalREN Public Agency Programs is honored to work with the City of Walnut, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the agency to achieve their sustainability goals!
SoCalREN Public Agency Programs helped Walnut to get this project started with our no-cost support and expertise. Together we identified energy-saving opportunities eligible for the Streamlined Savings Pathway program, which helped fund 50% of the city’s total project cost!
